Why doesn't kaby lake results appear yet?

Since the NDA is lifted how come 7700k results don't appear in searches or in the monthly hardware reports. Why is there still a blackout on results?

The results seem to be pretty meh. Maybe a 5% improvement in clock for clock performance, higher base and turbo clocks with slightly improved overclocking. Nothing exciting.

It's not even 5%. All else being equal, they're identical clock for clock.

Once the vetting and inclusion into the database is done you will start to see them. Keep in mind they just came out and little if any testing has been submitted so far. I'm sure Jarnis will be along at some point in the next few days with word on it..

I feel bad for people who "upgraded" for 500mhz

Not really different from upgrading for 5-10% better IPC and it doesn't clock any better.
Either way you shouldn't need to upgrade from one intel gen to the next

Database refreshes happen "lazily" as recomputing the search indexes takes a while. They should be there later this week.
