    Re: 3D Mark 11 error

I have a hunch this might be bug on our side. Black screen after loading physics test is known issue, which we have been able to reproduce very briefly just today. It seems to happen pretty randomly. Maybe even reboot might help.

We are investigating the issue, and I hope the issue is in the SystemInfo rather than benchmark itself.

I am a software/hardware tester by trade and I'll be happy to help you guys out trying to isolate this bug. I just saw one or two people report this also on the EVGA website forums. If you need assistance I am there to help you.

So it's during the transition phase of the test. You have to hit ctrl-alt-delete to get to the task manager and then you see the error message on the screen. If you happen to be in SLI and kill the 3D Mark 11 process default resolution is not restored, but it is when not running SLI.
exakt the same by me without SLI. Using a single 460GTX. There is no popup coming from Windows or other progg. After CTRL+ALT+ENTF there is only a popup from 3DMARK11 self with the message from the thread-starter.

    Re: 3D Mark 11 error

Dunno if it helps at all, running an AMD Phenom II X6 here along with a GTX580 and the benchmark crashes on the 5th test (CPU Physics). Reboot doesn't fix, reinstall doesn't fix and always crashes on the same spot (~3 secs after started).

Also randomly crashes on the CPU + GPU Physics test, but rare.

Needless to say, other benchmarks run fine (05, 06, Vantage...) and computer is stable (Prime, IBT, Games, General use...).

From what I've gathered, this seems to be problem only on NVIDIA. If that is so, it will narrow the bug in specific code within SystemInfo or the API it calls from there.

It's very minority of people who suffers from this (alot of submits work). I will bring this up tomorrow at office.

Nope -- not just Nvidia -- I have the same problem with an ATI 5770 using 10.10 driver -- figured it was something with the Nvidia Physx not being on my system so was surprised to see mostly nvidia cards reporting this problem !!

Forgot to mention it is Vista basic 32 bit OS and the download was from MajorGeeks mirror.
