I haven't found any solution to this, just that people have this problem. I have vista ultimate 64 bit and it installs but always stays at Initializing GUI any solutions???

anybody got anything please this is really annoying me, i got a free serial for it from my new gtx 295 and want to actually be able to use it.
Did anyone ever figure this out? I did work at one point, but it no longer works. It has been sitting at the Initializing GUI please wait screen for about an hour now. I let it sit while I ate lunch, then came back and registered for this forum. I have the latest aproved and certified drivers, set everything to stock, even made a fresh user. Nada.
Edit: UAC is OFF, ran as administrator, latest patches/hotfixes whatnot installed

Including your hardware configuration when reporting issues would be useful...
Beyond that, any "Initializing UI" bugs we know of were fixed in the 1.01 hotfix.

Just purchased and downloaded 3dmark Vantage bundled with PCmark vantage.
Downloaded and installed the newest builds as posted on the website.
PCmark works fine.
3dMark Vantage does just what this guys stated. It remins stuck on the "initializing gui...please be patient" screen indefinitely.
AMD Phenom II X2 (unlocked all four cores and OC'ed to 3.6Ghz)
MSI DKA790GX
8Gb OCZ Gold DDR2 1066 (set to DDR2 800 @ 5-5-5-15-20-2T)
Diamond HD 5850
3 WD Caviar 320 Gb HDs set to Raid 0
I have uninstalled and reinstalled numerous times. Have updated DirectX, Openal, and ensured that all windows updates are completed.
I have even tried getting version 1.0.1 and then applying the 1.0.2 patch to it...amazingly, 1.0.1 at least will enter the main menu, then it starts throwing out errors...but as soon as I patch to 1.0.2 I get the original problem "stuck at initializing gui"...
Seriously....I sent an email 4 days ago requesting help and have had no replies!!!

What errors did 1.0.1 throw in the main menu?
Have you tried without unlocked cores/without overclock? Usually the first thing to try in case of issues is to run everything stock and see if that matters in any way.
