I'm still pissed they are wasting money giving out coupons anyway. Since when did watching TV become a right? Can't afford a box? Tough ****, save your money and buy a box or a new set. Quit pissing our money away.
As much as I hate to delay it, it needs to be done.
I had 2 of the coupons (from before I got a new TV) and I never got to use them. I went to amazon, redeemed them, ordered, and 5 weeks later my order got cancelled. Then my only options was to fork out like $60 on top of the coupon to get an in-stock box.
What they should have done was just give out the f'ing boxes. Getting a converter box is like pulling teeth. And then after redeeming at amazon I couldn't use them anywhere else.
The whole thing was a headache. I can only imagine how a non-techie feels.

The whole thing was poorly thought out. It would be like scheduling a full transition to GSM for next year. Half the country wouldn't even have GSM capable phones by then.
I live in Canada and I think we have a similar plan in the next couple years. There is no excuse for you guys though. I am bombarded with DTV messages everyday from US stations. Anyone that misses all them must not really watch TV anyway.
IIRC, the FCC sold off the spectrum anyway, so a delay will probably cause a huge headache for the them (and probably their wallets!).
