Yes, i believe intelligent life exists outside of our planet/solar system
yes, but i don´t think more than just fungus
no, i believe we are alone and theres nothing out there
I didn't vote, cause the right option isn't in the list. The option should be: Yes, in any sort of way. Maybe not what we know as being lifeforms.
What would you describe as intelligent life? The way we are? Not very likely that there is a planet around with the exact proportions as earth (e.g. shape, distances, age, evolution from the beginning till now,...)
What would you say is fungus (or whatever) on another planet? As we know it? I don't know, but it's almost impossible that only "our" earth is the only planet where's a possibility for lifeforms.
And all those who say there's absolutely no other life in space, do they believe in the evolution theory? Cause men aren't a form of animals? We share no antsisters with the apes?
Just my thoughts, but it's almost impossible we are alone around here....
I really don't even understand how that fungus or any lower lifeforms is a part of one answer. If a planet can have simple lifeforms, then it is only a matter of time.
The hardest part in the evolution stage is creating the first cell not creating more and more intelligent lifeforms. Creating a cell is more of a accident if anything as far as we know for now because it is the one step we as humans cannot recreate in a lab or otherwise from the evolution chain.
More than likely there is something else out there probably are varying stages.
Ok now we can do some probability logic here, but it'll all be based on one IF:
IF we assume that the universe is infinite, then
- Earth is infinitely small
- The chance that there is another intelligent race somethere exists (Earth proves it to be possible)
- The chance that they will find an infinitely small planet in the infinitely large universe is infinitely small (but possible)
So based on the first assumption, my answer is YES. However, based on that assumption only. We don't know better.
I think it’s the ultimate in human arrogance to assume we are the only planet with life on it in the Universe. With the hundreds of billions of different galaxies out there each with trillions of stars and even more planets than that, to me, it seems foolish to think that life DOSENT or hasn’t existed somewhere else in this vast Universe. We may never come into contact with it or they may never come into contact with us, but I’m certain it’s out there somewhere.
