(I was naughty and didn't read the review, just scanned to the end for score and closing statement. I am on semi-blackout now until Friday :DIf you haven’t figured it out by now, Gears of War 2 is what’s going to sell Xbox 360s this holiday season. It has non-stop action, fresh gameplay, varied environments, an engrossing storyline, multiplayer that will have people busy for years to come, and some of the nastiest and coolest kills I’ve seen in a videogame. It has its flaws when it comes to the technical side of multiplayer and the last act of the campaign and the voice acting might turn some off. Still, none of that comes close to holding back Gears of War 2 from its destiny: being one of the best games available on the Xbox 360.
Although I'm glad to hear that the story is much improved from the first, hype rising!)

Scores added, TeamXbox gave it a 9.8 which is think is their third highest ever score.
They do mention there's some severe texture pop-in though - HD install anyone?

Edit: 9.5 score, but that has to be one of the most glowing reviews I seen on there. Definitely worth a watch and far less spoilerish than the 1up review.

I don't know, but reading and viewing a lot of reviews is bad for YOU. Just get the game and be surprised! [thumbup]
I cant remember the last game I booked a day off work for...
The reviews sound like it is a days holiday well spent, although I had no doubts
HD install won't fix it if it's a problem with streaming textures unless Epic setup the engine that way, which they didn't on the PC. An optimization patch could fix it though.
