    Can't compare my scores...

    I'm a bit disappointed with PCMark05.

I've bought this software some months ago, for testing CPU and evaluating them. I'm today the proud owner of a Conroe E6600ES and I can't compare my scores anymore, the "Published" option is greyed out everytime.

I know that this CPU isn't out yet and I understand Futuremark don't want them in the Hall of fame, but I can't understand why I can't compare my scores to others : I payed this software and ORB access for this functionnality and I can't get it to work.

So, what should I do ? Ask for a refund ?

The reason you cant compare your scores is, as you said, the CPU is not available yet. When it is available, you will then be able to compare it.
I doubt you will get a refund, as the software works perfectly, its just you're asking to compare something that isnt available yet.

It has nothing to do with what FM wants in the hall of fame or not, it has to do with the benchmark and the orb only support released hardware. Your cpu is not technically released yet afaik and hence, not yet supported in the orb. Once released(the cpu) it will assuredly be included with open arms by FM.

I see your point, but it's fruitless. You are getting what you paid for.

"You get what you paid for". If this is FM answer, it's really pretty bad. I realize you just don't want to deal with customers.

Thank you to clearing up my thought.

Whats to clear up? Whats so bad??

It's not officially released yet so it's not officially recognized yet by the FM orb. Why do you feel this is so unfair? What is your point here? Does the benchmark not run? Not work with the cpu?? This is laughable. Anyone who seriously thinks this is a bad idea need not buy or use FM products imo. The FM crew has elaborated on this many many times, and it's always some lucky sob who gets there mits on a sample chip and wants orb recognition NOW since once there available to everyone, there status on the orb will be non existant once again..

And btw, thats MY answer. I have no Idea about how FM handle things like this.
