    GTA IV Fuzzy Screenshots?

Has anyone else noticed that when you look at larger GTA IV screenshots (ign just posted 12 new ones) that it's really fuzzy looking compared to screenshots of other games? I kind of hope it's not in this style.

    examples: http://xbox360media.ign.com/xbox360/...1100428856.jpg

    http://xbox360media.ign.com/xbox360/...1100431215.jpg

    http://xbox360media.ign.com/xbox360/...1100433887.jpg

If you notice the details it's really blurry/fuzzy looks like they have a photoshop filter on it. As opposed to being crisp and sharp like other games.

Looks dodgy, and tree's look crap. Ive wodnered why on earth there has been no gameplay footage of this. Probably because the visuals arnt as good as there making out, probably alot of slow down, pop up, etc etc.

Hmm yeah I just realized that too, about no game footage. I don't think it will be slow and laggy, but the visuals could be worst then what we've been told.

Dear god i hope it isn't as bad as that! The last picture looks like the trees have been photo shopped with a glass filter.

it's a 'watercolour' type filter, i'm not completely sure but i think it might be in the game (i'd guess it would look much better in motion).

i wouldn't go by stills, we've seen what the game looks like in motion already and it looks pretty great imo, on top of that it's not like we've ever really seen any gameplay footage on the ramp up to release of a GTA game.

GTA has always had "blurry" visuals. They just can't afford the large textures we're used to seeing in games with smaller environments.

Exactly. The GTA series has always been know for its huge environments and freedom in them. The screenshots in this thread don't look all that hot but it doesn't bother me in the slightest. It is the gameplay, story, and characters in the game that make the games so great to me. [yes]

I think the 2nd shot of the bridge looks great as far as the amount of buildings in the background, also once it is in motion and being able to freely explore the revamped city will be fantastic. [thumbup]

Damn, I better go cancel my pre-order, no way I'm going to play a game that looks like that.
