Rockstar Screws Microsoft on GTA IV

I also don't see how this screws MS. I'm sure if MS really wanted to bundle GTA4 with an Xbox then it would happen, of course with a deal having to be made which is the normal business way. It's pretty obvious I think that in most countries the game will probably ship more copies for the 360 than the PS3 overall for the initial release. You really just have to check out the top pre-orders from different suppliers to see that. At the moment both my local Game and Gamestation have told me it looks like they will be selling more copies of the game for the Xbox than the PS3 at launch. But, I'm sure this bundle will help the PS3 in the long run, and this is only a good thing after the slow start by Sony.

I think achievements and DLC are an excellent reason for X360 owners to keep their X360 and not buy an additional PS3. I think for newcomers to this generation, Achievements and DLC won't mean all that much compared to the "here and now" of a good bundle.

I too fail to see how this in any way "screws" Microsoft. Screwing would imply taking away something from the X360 version, or adding something more to the PS3 version, like say, extra exclusive content (kind of like how the X360 version is going to have extra exclusive content). It's just a bundle. A minor price incentive.

Its blatantly obvious to almost everyone that MS is not getting screwed in any way shape or form.

The 360 version will probably sell more copies, probably have more people playing online, probably have more content available over time...

All i know is no matter which console you have (PS3 or 360) you are onto a winner when the game gets released, just the 360 version will 'probably' be better ;)

I know this may not to contribute to the thread that much, but I wonder how this would be if x360 wasn't getting GTA4? That would be interesting to see at this moment in time.

Because myself, I'm a huge GTA fan, in fact, I'm going to play through GTA3 this month just in anticipation for this game. Just so the contrast is that much greater. If GTA4 wasn't coming to x360, I would have bought a ps3 just for it. This bundle would be an instant purchase. I swear, I did it with GTA:SA. I wanted to play it so bad I bought a PS2 and GTA:SA then sold it about 3 months later.
