A very good point. Thats the one area that Sony really have nothing to compare with at the moment. It not enough for me alone to get the X360 version, but its a feature I would like to have and may sway a lot of people. Sony say this will be sorted when Home is released with virtual Trophies?!? I hope they realize that its the number system everyone likes and not some virtual trophy I cn stick on my virtual wall.

Also cheers for some supportive posts people, sorry for the low point in this thread and I think most people understand that I am simply excited about the PS3 news hence why i post it for discussion. I don't intent to create a flame war just a meaty discussion with view points from everyones opinions.

I fail to see how MS got screwed (again).

It just sounds like a typical one-sided Playstation fan-boy story in an attempt for them to try and justify their purchase.

Edit: If MS really wanted to they could sell tens of thousands of 360's in the blink of an eye with one quick move... Microsoft Flight Simulator X360.

I think in the end, achievements, downloadable content will win the day, not some one game bundle that Sony also recently did with GT5.

One tree does not make a forest.

I dont really see how this "screws" MS over. I will put money that the 360 version will sell more than the PS3 version , atleast in the US. Better MP, achievements, and better DLC. Cant go wrong. I think this is a good move by sony and will help drive their system sales that they desperatly need. But I dont think this "screws" over MS.

They paid big bucks and made a lot of effort to get DLC as the primary reason to go X360 with GTA4... And then Sony undermines it by having a combo pack. MS = screwed. Perhaps not royally from behind with a guinneapig, but screwed nonetheless.

Edit: If MS really wanted to they could sell tens of thousands of 360's in the blink of an eye with one quick move... Microsoft Flight Simulator X360.
Hahaha, funny, that. Flight simulators are barely popular enough on their home platform, the PC. More arcade flight games (controller doesn't allow for much simulation) don't make much of a splash on consoles, with rare exceptions. Flight Simulator 360 wouldn't do much.

I think in the end, achievements, downloadable content will win the day, not some one game bundle that Sony also recently did with GT5.
I think achievements and DLC are an excellent reason for X360 owners to keep their X360 and not buy an additional PS3. I think for newcomers to this generation, Achievements and DLC won't mean all that much compared to the "here and now" of a good bundle.

I can't understand how any true GTA fan would not get the 360 version for the extra two "epic episode packs" which are ment to add 10 hours of gameplay not just extra cars or whatever (not sure if thats 10 hours each or combined). I have both a 360 and PS3 but it is a no brainer when it comes to which format ill buy it on.
Anyone without either console who is buying a system just for GTA, why would you get the PS3 version over the 360? Screw any minor graphic difference, GTA has never been about graphics in my oppinion. I can't see how any fan of GTA would not want the extra content. Sony could give me a copy of the game for free and I would still buy the 360 version!

i thought the actual dlc content hasn't actually been confirmed up to this point? i remember something about PS3 getting dlc also but it's up in the air at this point what it would be on either console.

tbh i'm not all that concerned about the dlc anyway, apparently with multiplayer the game has a good 100 hours worth in it, i can bearly play a great deal during the day as it is.

I guess it could be that the 360 gets the DLC before the PS3 or the PS3 has totaly different content, like cars or something and not extra storylines. Will just have to wait and see! Bring on the 28/29th !
