Why is it the same 2 people posting PS3 propoganda continuously on this forums anymore?

In any case, so? I guess I am under the impression that people who are gamers have their system of choice, and havent been waiting around for years to save 60 dollars, while spending 300+. Especially with another version going to have more content.

I'm a gamer and I have waited until some decent games came out on the PS3 before I purchased so I think this disproves your point.

I'll get GTAIV on the 360 as I don't have a PS3 yet (and I'll also get multiplatform games for the 360 for achievement points where the games are roughly equal in quality) but I'm keen on getting a PS3 this year and I reckon I may plunge for a MGS4 bundle if it comes to Europe.

The next 18 months in console gaming is going to be VERY interesting given the Wii's runaway success, the 360's great library of games and particularly given that there seems to be momentum building behind the PS3 at the moment and I expect 2008 to be a very successful year for the PS3.

So 1 person = disproven point? You said decent gameS, you didnt say you waited for GTIV to come out on it, so actually my point is still proven. Since essentially the same games have come out on both systems, I don't see how waiting for games to come out on the PS3 has any relation to what I stated. In fact it would make it seemingly more strange to wait for a single game to come out on the PS3 to and wait for a bundle when it will save you 60 dollars.

Unfortunately the MGS4 bundle is probably going to be released only in the US territory. Damn shame, as the 80GB model includes the PS2 Emotion Engine chip.

Off topic but does it include the EE chip in it? It is still just software emulation right? I thought there was two chips needed for the BC and the 80gb would be just like the past 80gbs, which didn't have the EE chip or at least I thought that was what was removed.


Hopefully this will push both systems to even out the playing field a little. I really want to see a Snes vs. Genesis console style war, neck and neck see-sawing.

I may get the PS3 version just because it looks a little better, runs a little better, and I want to vote for evening the playing field anyway.

I didn't wait for the bundle, it just so happens that if it is coming out, I would rather get that than the console and game seperately.

I think there are a lot of gamers who are waiting to buy a PS3 as their next gen console and titles like GTA IV are going to finally make them purchase.

This is just my opinion but that's what I am going to do.

the PS3 software compatibility is not really software at all, there still needs to be the PS2 graphics synthesizer in it for it to work. the first PS3's had both the emotion engine and the synthesizer in there.

i think Sony are still working on real software compatibility so they can sell PS2 games on PSN

Ok, so just because I post PS3 news I am posting "propaganda".

I think that is rubbish... I have only ever posted the facts based on articles I have found whilst checking my favorite sites. If passing on this information to futuremark readers is constituted as "propaganda" then I will quite happily stop posting here. (Like many other have done over the years).

I can honestly say I wish Futuremark was more like the old MadOnion days when people could post what they want without being criticized or swamped by over protective fanboys.

I'd also like to point out I have an X360 as well as a PS3 and if any worthy news comes up for this platform ill also pass on the information for discussion.

I too agree with this. I guarantee GTA4 will sell more on 360 in the US. In the country's with the PS3 bundle, it'll be close.

i would bet in europe, Australia and Japan (although i guess thats such a big market for the game) the PS3 version will sell a fair bit better.

Multiplatform games have actually been selling better on PS3 across pretty much all of Europe since before christmas, the software situation is very different outside of the US.

Also in reply to the OP i remember it coming to light that the money M$ payed Rockstar wasn't outright 'buying' dlc exclusivity, it was more complicated, something more along the lines of a deposit.
