The Futuremark benchmark developers have finally published a second developer diary of 3DMark Vantage. In this video they discuss about the DX10 features being used in the different tests of 3DMark Vantage. And yes, this time there is actual DX10 footage from 3DMark Vantage shown, including the very first few seconds of the new benchmark.

Though the suggested jaw dropping effect didn't happen. Maybe I've seen too much CGI to be impressed with computer graphics anymore. Realtime or not.

On which GPU was 3DMark Vantage ran for this developer diary? I think 8800 GTX...
i bet it wont run that good at ANY hw you can buy at the store today.. atleast not at default clocks. It will be interesting to see how mutch cpu performance means at overall points.
i don't get why peopel complain about the benchmark not running smoothly. it is meant to measure objectively the performance of a system in a gaming scenario. Fancy graphics are the bonus. and these in no way are required to run smoothly.
luckily futuremark always includes a Demo mode, which can and indeed SHOULD have optimisations to ensure smooth and enjoyable viewing of their artists hard work.
