that link plays the message at the end of credits. It says "its still alive".
Not sure if I liked it or not to be honest. Gonna have to rent it and invest time into all the little things I might have missed. It's certainly not a bad film.
btw, Darkneo posted a link which shows the monster close up. A bit of spoiler warning would've been nice as I clicked that before I watched the film. Thanks alot. [rolleyes]
I avoided this thread entirely after the my initial post. If something seemed like a spoiler I just deleted the notice and ignored.
Now that I've seen it i'm paying attention again. Though what happened to Marlea(sp?) was freaky, you get a glimps of what might have happened when they walk into the camp from the subway tunnels, a marine is wheeled by on a gurney.

Am I retarded or something? When the end credits say "Help Us", wouldn't the reverse say "su pleh". How the hell do they reverse and get "It's still alive" ? Also how would Rob know that it would say that backwards.. someone enlighten me.
I know people on the internet like to fight every single topic, and will probably fight me on this, but this movie was PURE genius. Not only was the advertising/viral stuff just enough to waste various amounts of time trying to find out more about the movie before i saw it, to the fact that they never showed the monster in ANYTHING at all before you go see the movie was so well executed in this day and age of it's on the net in 10 seconds.
The entire atmosphere of this movie sucks you right in. I hope they make a sequel, or the same thing from another point of view. Maybe the military trying to figure out what the hell to do against this beast. Show it from the pilots and the tanks and the solders fighting the thing.
I think they only spent 20 million on making this film, this thing is going to easily gross 200 million domestic/world wide
The first thing that popped into my head when the they all started shooting was "STRIIIDEEEEEER!!!"
i really liked it [thumbup]

Cloverfield was a great movie. But you could tell they left the end open for a second movie. I'm hearing rumours the second one is shot from s soldiers pov. But they are rumours atm.
