Bioshock is game of the year? I beg to differ. Super Mario Galaxy deserves it more than anything.

I really didn't enjoy BioShock as much as it's praised. I like STALKER more.

If Mario Galaxy is anything like an updated/more polished Mario 64 then I would probably love it and many "older" people would as well.

Mario Galaxy was far better than Bioshock in my opinion, but I feel that Mass Effect should have deserved game of the year over either of them, honestly. It's quite a tossup between the two for me, but I think Mass Effect will give me more overall hours of play than Mario would. I can actually say that I agree with most of this list though, which is a surprise given the usually (idiotic) choices they make.

I usually enjoy ripping these award lists apart, but I am pleased to say I agree with most of the results this time.

As for Bioshock winning game of the year you must understand the reality that is massed in the amount of persons who actually played Bioshock. Say versus Mario Galaxies. Mario may be a better game per say, but isn't as widely recognized via the demographic most of these awards are geared toward. I love Mario games, but I have to admit I haven't played Galaxies yet.

I loved Bioshock. It incorporated awesome graphics, story, and sound that let you beat the game in different ways.
