1280*960 in COD:United Offensive?

I know, it's been quite a while since this was released, but I just picked it up yesterday. It was cheap, I hadn't played it yet, and I enjoyed the original, so I figured "why not?"

So...does anyone remember if 1280*960 or other custom resolutions are possible? I had a quick look and I can use 1280*1024, but I've got a CRT and that resolution just doesn't look right. Any help would be appreciated. [yes]

Yes, I used to run 1280x960. and its a standard resolution

You can also change the cfg files to make a custom resolution.

Not in there for me. I looked a few times, too.

I'll try and see if I've got the latest patch when I get home, and if that's not it, I'll try changing the config files. TY for the responses everyone.

The latest patch didn't do anything, and there is no config file in the "Main" directory. I created one, put the stuff in, and nothing...

It takes the resolution from the driver set, unless you are using specific widescreen monitor drivers.

It really amazes me how insulting Activision's support is. The person who mailed me last night at least tried to help me. The person who mailed me today, however, just said this:

Way to actually try to help me out, ****ing *******. [thumbdown] I've been in a bad mood all day long, and I'm very close to telling this person exactly that.

I'm using standard 93.71s because that's the latest driver that works with my Ti4200. My desktop is at 1280*960 and I run pretty much every game at that rez. I don't remember having this problem with the original game way back when. In fact, I think I remember playing it at 1280*960.


Edit: Actually, I remember playing the UO demo at 1280*960, because I remember how slow it ran with everything up. This problem is definitely starting to anger me.

Well, this is starting to look like a lost cause. Seems like my choices are either run it in 1024x768 at 100 hz, run it in 1600x1200 at 72 hz, or mail the game back to Activision with a nice letter telling them to shove it up their ass, and be out $9.

Uninstall your monitor drivers, thats the driver set I meant before.
