Savage: The Battle for Newearth was a strange and unappreciated creature that had some of the best gameplay of the year when it came out. Hopefully, Savage 2: A Tortured Soul will have the impact it deserves. With the game now entering beta for those that pre-ordered, we're getting our first look at how the series has developed.

I'm so tired of games like Savage saying they are doing what no other game does. Battlefield and Battlefield 2 did it long before Savage an much better then them.
I don't know, I'm pretty sure there's no game like this set in a fantasy world. This is basically an RTS where every person in the game controls an individual unit. Some need to harvest, some need to build, others need to fight and there's always 1 commander per side. The first one was pretty friggin sweet, and I thought it did a lot of things right. This one looks like they've probably added a good amount on to the formula for the first and have given me a good reason to want to check it out.Originally Posted by Unregistered
Yeah, this is nothing like Battlefield. It has the RTS element in it, which Battlefield definetly does not have.

OT: I just watched one of the videos on gameplay and am not sure if I like the game or not yet.
One doesn't need to be registered or logged in to post comments on News, Reviews, Previews, or Articles items (although in the case of news, if one does it from the actual news item on YG, an image verification check is required).
