    7600GT aftermarket coolers

Since most companies dont list their HSFs being compatable with the 7600GT and since the stock cooler is loud I thought I would make up a list of what I've read is and what I know is compatable with the card. *I* for one was scared to buy one because I didnt want to buy it and have it not fit.

What I've read(from another forum, they say the info is from zalman):
    Zalman 700series
    Zalman 900 series

What the companies have told me:
Thermalright V-1 - not sure about the Ultra version, but I dont see why it wouldnt fit.

    What I know:
    Arctic Cooling NV6Rev2.

My ACNV6rev2 fits perfectly on the card, but it is only a sidegrade as far as cooling goes. The card still loads around 48-50c, just with a LOT less noise. The overclocks on the card are still 600/1600(auto-detecting software OC, not max stable) over the stock 580/1500. Overall I'd say it was well worth buying as I couldnt take the noise any longer. I chose it over the Zalmans because I like how it exhausts the heat and I liked my old Silencer over my Alcu700. Plus the VF900 was a lot more then I wanted to spend right now :(.

Zipzoomfly seems to be the best place to buy the Zalman and AC series because they have free shipping :).

    Hope this helps.

I too like the silencers because it exhausts heat, however another downside is the heatsink is tricky to clean.

Since they do a Silencer for the 7600GT I'd have that. Exhausting heat coolers should be standard on all high end cards IMO.

I havnt found one that says "7600GT compatable", AC has a new passive cooler coming out that says its compatable with it tho.

    Oh, and fixed :D.

I emailed AC asking which of their coolers were compatible with the reference 7600GT PCB and this is what they said

None currently, this cooler will be available in the near future!

Strange that you say the Silencer6 rev2 fits, why would they not tell me that ?

50° is KICK ASS and should not limit your overclocks at all

for the very small thermal load, you made a perfect choice

Oh I know, I didnt think anything else would help me much more over this so I chose what I wanted :) - plus I dont really wanna oc that much anyway. The stock cooler kept it under 48 all the time, but it was MUCH louder :(.

I didnt get a response from them, I dunno why they'd tell you that. Maybe they havnt tried it out? lol. I bought one cause someone on newegg said it'd fit and it does, perfectly.

    I can take a picture if you'd like :).
