Windows Vista Easy Transfer is really lame

Migrating user settings from Windows 2000 to XP was really nice and easy with the whole Files and System Transfer. In vista, they have this new feature called "Easy Transfer Wizard". The lame part is that you have to go back to the source machine and install this Easy Transfer Wizard on XP/2000, obtain a secret passcode, and then you can go back to your Vista machine and transfer the settings over. Who thinks this is lame? ME!!!

I would not say its lame, but to be honest I personally always just took the hard drive from the old machine and move the files myself, only big change is from Documents and Settings to Users, but in all honesty I would not care having to install the software on the other computer if it was networked.

It sounds like it's to protect anyone from "stealing" your settings.....So I don't think it's lame
