BF2142: The Voss is a bad thing?

So yeah, I was playing tonight on a "bad" server, i.e. it was full of clan *****s who were bunny hopping and totally owning everyone on the server (they were like 55-6 or something stupid).

The bs aside, whilst I was politely asking why they were bunny hopping around like lamers, I was told that my team was in fact full of lamers because we were using the Voss. I soon left after that because they a) didn't stop bunny hopping and killing people in one shot while jumping, and b) they didn't answer me about the Voss hate.

Is the Voss some kind of bad thing to use? It's undoubtedly the best weapon in the game -- you can spray it like a shotgun at close range, and snipe with it at long range. It's perfect.

Oh, to top it all off, the clan ***** who claimed the Voss was for lamers seemed to miss the fact that the *other* clan ***** who was above him in the scoreboard was in fact using a Voss. [rolleyes]

For clarification: when I say "clan *****," I'm referring to clanners who are generally arrogant, hostile, and use exploitative tactics like bunny hopping. I'm not talking about the good clan folks who work together and don't play/act like 14-year-olds.

Ok 1st off Im in a clan called oriGin... and Im assuming that them bunny hopin would be a clan tactic along with revives, which would explain their awesome scores.. I doubt that u were getting shot while someone was BHing, more than likely u were getting shot by someone next to them

As a clan tactic, u NEVER travel alone, u travel in 2's or 3's and all medics...depending on the map!!
U seem like ur a pubber and not a clan member, so pubbing skills actually mean zip when up against a clan tactic. Ive known pub all stars who end up with the worst scores in a match because they do not know how to play as a team.

So if u got owned by a clan just cause they were bunny hopin...dont bitch, its part of the game!! PPL like u ruin the game for us competative players who play the game to the best of its potential!! We use team play and strategy to win...not gay ass whining!!!
Ur the type of player who goes on the EA forums and cries and cries bout how weak u got pwnt!!!

Stop makin weak posts like these and perhaps join a CAL clan or TGL clan and know what owning is all bout!! pub pwning means ZERO!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Voss is probably the best gun in the game, and almost unbalances things.

Having said that, I usually use the Baur - as in a medium range encounter I can woop Voss users totally. OK, close up I normally take a beating - but my playstyle is usually longer range, supporting the Voss users who are assaulting, and healing as needed.

Second you cannot bunnyhop or dolphindive and shoot accurate at the same time, it is only useful to bunnyhop when you need to reload under fire but any decent player will still mow you down.
