    ecs mobo probelsm

    it only happens on my ecs nforce 3 motherboard it dont allow enough time for my dvd to spin up when i am trying to boot from dvd. is there any way to make it wait longer before it boots harddirve

    There is some kinda ide wait time thingy in the bios. To wait like 10secs before detecting drives or something..

    cool thank you it drives me batty i thought it was my drive but no problems with this drive on my gigabyte board

    Look for a idle wait delay setting in the advanced BIOS options, you could also try disabling quick POST.
