    Decent screensavers?

I'm not specifically looking for 3D ones, as I don't want my GPU running overtime when my PC is idle (but link them up anyway if you want to) - but I would like a nice screensaver that looks good (maybe 3D, but not forcing my card fan to spin up all the time).

Currently using the standard XP screensaver, but fancy something different.

Anyone got any suggestions / links?

    Blank Screen.
Built-in in Windows, absolutely free, takes up no additional disk space and is quite efficient on resources.

The only thing beating Blank Screen is having the monitor power off I'd say.

i think my screen could do with a bit of saving actually

I've been having really bad image retention problems on my LCD screen, their has been a line across the top of the panel where the windows top bar stays, i've tried having the monitor off few a few days and it's not going away....

Well, the Vista screensavers have been ported to Xp. Nice especialy if you have a Vista-type theme for Xp.

I've not tried this but have a look here

    also maybe here

or try the http://www.reallyslick.com/ link I gave and run the Plasma one very tiny file that doesn't need to be installed just double click it
(If you want to install any of them so they show on your screensavers list drag the files to System32 folder and you're done)

I use the "flurry" screensaver that macs use. You can find a port here..

its amazing how much better it runs on PC vs the Macs we have at school.

I use screen off after 5 minutes, screensavers are a waste of power.
