No PCMark 05 score

Just ran PC Mark05
However, instead displaying a result, I got message: "System suite must be selected and run to obtain a PCMark score" .
Found out that when the Multithreaded Test 1 is started the following message appears:
"Video encoding: init failed, test skipped"
All other tests of the Systemtest Suite run fine.

The strange thing is that Windows Media Encoder 9 and Windows Media player 10 are both installed.

So what could be wrong?

I use WinXP Pro, with automated updates

I ran the test a little bit ago also and i'm getting the same issue.

I downloaded windows media player 11 though. Not sure what the problem is...

Didn't know Media player 11 is already out.
So you get a PC Mark score now?

Sorry i don't know what the problem is guys
but you don't have to be a Pro user to get a score

I've contact a ADMIN for you guys.. lets hope they can solve this.

the weird thing for me is that it's only been doing it after i recently reinstalled windows xp pro on my system. Due to unrelated motherboard problems, i have had many reinstalls of windows where pcmark05 worked fine (with all the same hardware each time), but a problem arises this particular time ?!?!?!?

I wasn't getting a score until I found this FAQ, now I finally can get a score.

I like Classic Themes for windows, so if you're like me, this might be what's causing you the problem.

And I was getting the same test failing, and no score like you guys.

gee thanks for finding this
i gave up hope long ago must admit i didnt really try to solve the prob
but it seems like lots of work to just get a score so i will do that when i am bored one day
but thanks for your effort
