Because it does - the feature tests are simply that: tests for features, not gaming capabilities. The Radeon X1650 fully supports all of the tests that produce results for the final 3DMark score.
I am getting a "invalid bitmap file format" error. Everyone here says to redownload. I dont think that its the download because I also installed it on my older 2.8ghz northwood P4c800 deluxe system with windows xp pro, and it ran fine. I setup 3dmark06 to run as an admin in vista64, and even tried to run it as "compatibility xp sp2" mode. I am not sure what else to do. Any help? Thanks...

3dmark06 does not run on my system:

Please help me... i've tried your suggestion in this topic, but nothing.
I cannot get 3dmark06 to run on my system. I followed the instructions from page 1 and installed the two additional programs. 'OpenAl' and 'Directx' appearaed to install properly. I can find 'OpenAL' in the 'Programs' folder but not 'Directx', which I think is more of a driver. The file '3dmark06_v110_installer' states the file size when downloading to be 576MB. However the file size after downloading is only 267MB. When I click on the file to 'Run' it nothing happens. Am I getting the entire file, or is my operating system blocking part of it?

Please refer to this FAQ entry:

That may solve your problem.
You need to download it again. Please try another mirror and save it to another location than previously. If the filesize is less than what is stated, the whole file hasn't been downloaded for some reason.Originally Posted by doakh

I am running Windows Vista 64-Bit Home Premium with an 8800GTX with the Beta drivers 163.11. Ok, now my problem is this. Whenever I try to run 3DMark06 I get this error
"The procedure entry point alcGetString could not be located in the dynamic link library OpenAL32.dll"
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling 3DMark06, the OpenAL Installer from Creative, and my DX10 and all of those atempts to get it to work failed.
I've ran all three installers as an Administrator and that didn't help as well.
I would appreciate it if I would get some help with these problems.
