Not at all, I am one of those people that is pure black and white, right and wrong, and can not stand it when people say it is a gray area. A is A in my book, i.e. absolutes. However, this topic is a personal choice, versus a question about shooting a person that breaks-in to your home.

In my opinion, this type of question cuts to the core of individual rights, which are right and wrong. Nobody has a right to infringe on another person's rights, for the common good, since this subverts the individual to the will of the many (i.e. society).

Being one of the older farts here "38" id have to say yes to terminating the pregnancy on two conditions... One, if there was 100% medical proof that the child would have serious medical problems and not be able to live a normal life.. Life is hard enuff not haveing medical problems and bringing a child into this world all ready with mental or physical problems isnt fair to the child.. Of course it depends on the severity of the problems . Two, haveing a child is a 50/50 proposition... The mother and farther must be in agreement on the matter when it comes to major decisions like this. And terminateing a pregnancy is a major decision..

    Just my opinion..

We wern't aware of my son's health problems before he was born - I certainly wouldn't have asked the missus to consider a termination.

Now we have our hands full with one poorly child I'm not sure we could cope with another, but I still think abortion is all too convenient.

But if your answer would be "yes" to terminate on a brain tumor that would give the child a lifespan of 3 years, with a lot of suffering. Then your answer would have to be "yes' to this poll. (aswell as Langaleer ) Maybe they should add a "maybe so" to the available answers.
Think Langaleer had the best description, depending on the circumstances Either that or the OP should have been more specific with his poll.

Maybe I should have said "typical" disabilities such as psychosis, profound mental retardation or cerebral palsy. People are thinking of the once in 10 million chance of being born with a painful beyond imagination deformity.

This should be easy. Don't think of what your child would be missing out on, think of all the wonderful people in the world with a disability, and then try to imagine not having them exist.

You're right! It sure would be great to have all that extra free time and money without people with disabilities around!

There allot more diseases then that what you mention as 'being born with a painfull beyond imagination deformity' that I would consider as cause for an abortion. As to your last post, I certainly hope it was made with the intrest of enciting a reaction, if not then my reaction would be that you in this case are the one with a dissability and you should have been aborted. Humanity would be beter of when consisting out of humane beings then the likes of you as portrait in that post.

    Edit:
