my scores with E6600@3ghz and 8800GTS

hi folks

got my new system

E6600
Asus P5B-Deluxe / WIFI AP
Gigabyte GeForce 8800GTS
2gb Kingston 667 (KVR667D2N5K2/2G) => 5/5/5/15
Enermax Liberty 500W

directly after installation (up to date drivers) I scored 8400 3DMarks
now with CPU @ 3GHz I got 8850 3DMarks

a friend of mine got his new system too
also with 8800GTS but with a normal clocked E6300

he told me he scored after installation 9000 3DMarks, but i haven't seen it


Now here's my question

is my score too low ?????
Haven't found a game yet that's not running well @ 1600x1200 with max settings...

hope you can help me to find out what's my problem (if there's one)

Yoour friend is pulling your leg, nobody scores 9K on E6300 & 8800GTS on stock.

im sorry not to be able to post links - my game PC is not online cause there's no DSL available. Our house is at glass fibre - unfortunately that's too new for dsl. and vdsl isn't available yet - and only god knows when it will be

hi, my system is nearly the same, but i got only 5800 points. but i'm very curious about the fact, that, compared with a nearly the same system, the first hdr test is better than it should be. the other tests (except cpu) are far behind the value of the others machine

Looks like you didn't turn off AA and AF.
Also set performance - not quality under CP 3D settngs.

AA and AF are both off. i thought of it also, but its deactivated in drivers and 3dmark (deactivated, not application controlled). and in the tests i can clearly see, its off. what else could be the problem?

Reinstall chipset (mobo) drivers and video driver too. It could help - it looks like you have corrupted dll. or so.

Now I know what the problem was. ASUS Gamer OSD dropped my frames to the half. I don't know if it's only a problem of mine. Can someone confirm this?
