For the fan, get a 120mm Vantec Tornado and 5v it, it'll be silent and push FAR more air that other 'silent' fans!

I just love the AC Freezer 64 Pro, cheap, easy to fit and runs my 3400+ mobile chip @ 39deg with 1.55v idle, it runs at a constant 100% and i've never been able to hear it.

Right, thats impossible unless you have so many fans you can't hear it above them [yes] The arctic freezer with a bios controlled fan is dead silent ( ie running @ 1100rpm ) However at 100% it can get damn loud i notice this especially in my Antec P180.

However it cools really well, and knocked 10C off my idle temps.

Ok, I've just been dropping the fan from 2100rpm to 800rpm and back up again and I can just hear it with the side panel off but it's nowhere near as loud as my stock 7800gs fan.

Just out of interest it is this one we're talking about coz they do a few?

My current Heatsin/fan is a Thermaltake Venus 12

I have a feeling that it may struggle.

I was wondering what the best Socket 754 Heatsink/fan is out available, bearing in mind that I need it to be reasonably quiet.

Or do u think the Thermaltake Venus 12 will be fine.

I need to get a Heatsink anyway as I'm replacing my parents' rig with the A64 3200+, and I don't have a 2nd cooler.

So my plan was to couple the Venus 12 with the 3200+ for my folks.
And get a better cooler for my 3700+

Any help or advice would be great.
If the XP/SI-120 doesn't work out for you (size or whatever) then I'd suggest getting the XP-90. I'm running the Thermalright XP-90 with a Panaflo M1A 92mm fan as well as a Sckt. 754 3700+ OC'ed to 2.52 ATM. Idle temps OC'ed are 40-41 C and load is 43-44 C (all depending on room temp, it's about 75 F in the room now and it's running 41C).
