What is the best TV card software!!

I have just been given a XFX NVTV card but it has no software for watching TV [rolleyes] So what is the best (free if possible) software for watching and recording TV in the UK ?

    Thanks

I'm not aware of anything specific to that card but DScaler is probably the best known TV App.

Thanks [thumbup] yes it is in their list (your link isn't for the Media Portal website but I found it using Google), is it any good? I can't try it until the missus gets home with a cable for the aerial!!

Ooops, I mustv'e copied and pasted in a bit of a hurry.
Still, could always grab yourself a free pillow[thumbup]

As for media portal itself. Yup, it's pretty good, I use it to play/record TV and also to view my DVDs, videos, play music etc using my remote.

Re: What is the best TV card software!!

I tried MediaPortal last night and managed to record Pink Floyd playing Dark Side of the Moon live But this morning I realized it had recorded it in a file format that I didn't recognize (.dvr-ms), which I since found out is a Microsoft file type [cursing]. I am now in the process of trying to find a program to convert it into a more pratical file type (either .avi or .mpg) and I'm not having much luck!!

But Thanks for everyones help [thumbup]
