Find a friendly corp, thats your best bet to getting the resources and help early on. This baby did take awile to train for:
But you can be a help even in a tech 1 frigate (starting ships) as shown by the tournament that is being shown on eve TV today (UK time) [yes]
As for the above tech II destroyer well that takes 56 million isk just for its skill and to buy it, there are many others you need and again more to fly it well. However it just means there are lots of interesting things to aim for while at the same time a lot of basic stuff to get your hands on and try now.

I've been playing the whole day yesterday, after I got the trail.
But I must say, it aint easy in the beginning.
Already lost one ship, but that was due to my own inexperience in this game.
Anyway. What do you guys do with all the stuff you buy at stations lightyears away?
Do you keep it there, or do you transport it to your "homebase".
And how about other (older) ships? Do you sell them, or keep them at the base you bought the new ship? I assume there is no way of transporting old ships to one base?
Large cargo ships are needed to move lots of ships or you buy cheap shuttles and use those to move around.
I try and keep eveything in 3 home base's. Never put eveything in 1 base in case you end up at war and never sell your old ship. Its best to have a fall back ship in case you lose your main ship.
just thought id give the trial another go last time (ages ago) there was a bug where you couldnt finish the tutorial ;)
Started a Caldari military type.
