Any ideas? Sorted the temperature thing out, the Asus S-Presso is now shutting of randomly, sometimes after 2 hours, sometimes after 2 minutes...

Could it be anything to do with your new GPU?
I've read a lot of people are reporting either random reboots (as I was getting with my 7800GS) - or lockup or poweroffs. It seems the 7000 series cards are not all that stable on AGP.
Was it doing this before you got your new card?
AH, - I see there is a chance you might be talking about a different PC to the one you put you 7900GS+ in?
The power supply in that thing is only 220W, I would say that whatever you got in there is too much for that power supply to handle.
Thing is... it hasn't got anything in it... basically, a DVD-rewriter, the CPU and a HD... the Ti4200 it had bust [no]
Does it do this with the case side off and a desk fan pointed at it? Random shut downs due to temp can be from other sensors than the CPU...Originally Posted by pugheaven
