    please help new system

I had my new system running and I have the A8r32 MVP deluxe motherboard. I decided to update to the 0404 bios. Now every time I tyrb it on it says bad bios checksum, starting bios recovery and looks for the a8r32mvp.rom file from CD

I put the asus disk in and it reads the fike, says it is erasing the old file and then writing the new file. It then tells me to turn off the system which I do and then the same thing happens. I am completely stuck in this loop. Any suggestions at all?

Try resetting cmos? Or you can turn off Power to PSU for 10 seconds, and remove the cmos battery for 2 minutes. Then re-install the cmos battery, and restart the system.

    Re: please help new system

Ok.....I was still stuck in the loop of it saying there was a bad bios and trying to flash it. I took it home from my friends and decided to just turn it on.......to my surpise it posted all the sudden

But now I have more issues. I am able to install windows but eventually a read/write error comes up and the system will reboot and then it says system32 files are corrupt such as hal.dll and my windows install is toast. I think the mobo is dropping the raid array and it can no longer read them and crashes. I have on a couple of reboots also noticed in the bois that the serial ata drives wont show (2 74 gig raptors) If I reboot again they are back.

Any ideas? Im pretty pissed at this point

You got proper ventilation for thoes badboys??

They generate a lot of heat and if you do not have a fan blowing directly on them, they may be overheating, ect..

I have them in a Lian-LI V1200B PLUS case. They are stting in the hard drive cage which is right next to a 120MM fan.....

I tried reinstalling windows again and I am blue screening like crazy. It seems to be whenever it is writing data to the Raid 0 array.

    Should I try flashing again?

I give up and I am just going to RMA the board. It will lose the raid array in windows and kills it every time, then the bios wont pick up the drives until a reboot.

Would it be faster to RMA with Asus or Newegg?

    Thanks

Newegg would be much faster. I have had bad experiences with Asus Rma unfortunatley. Good luck. (Not that you will need it, Newegg is great with RMA's)

    Re: please help new system

i am at a loss of words. The new motherboard is blue screening on windows install. A couple of other times it just hung up with a thin red line across the upper edge of the screen. I know that the graphics card is good.

I have tried installing on 1 74 gig raptor at a time instead of raid 0 and no luck there. I also have tried a individual stick(1 gig, I have 2 gigs) and still the same damn thing. I have no idea now and I feel like ive waster 2000 bucks for nothing.

    Please any suggestions are welcome.
