Socket AM2? It was moved up from June 6th to May 23rd because Intel was planning to spoil the launch by paper launching Conroe around the same time (so that most of the socket AM2 review benches would be benched against Conroe instead of Pressler).

I'm not sure if Intel is still going to be able to get Conroe samples to reviewers in time, but I think the major websites might still have Socket AM2 vs. Conroe on May 23rd (Intel knows that if they can get a Conroe to the major websites they can spoil the most viewed socket AM2 reviews).

Just chill and wait for the summer releases. Find out what the DX10 market is going to look like, what you're going to want/need with Windows Vista, all that stuff. Thats what I would have done had I not had to buy a comptuer quite immideately (my dads broke down, so I had to give him mine essentially)

Congratulations, by the way. Now that it's over, do you kind of feel like going back?

The image on this article from DailyTech shows Intel's Conroe won't start selling until Q3 (June is the last month in Q2, July is the first month in Q3).

They might be able to squeek a few out into the market in the last week or two of June, but I'd say the first week or two in July is when Conroe will be released.
