57C load with X1900XTX? thats an incorrect reading.. Somethings wrong with the sensor... If you want evidence do a google search.

Im not using a X1900XTX, lets try to use any specific videocard as a basis here.. but IF your post is specifically for the X1900 family of cards *alone* then i dont require further proof.

It's pointless to talk about anything but the x1900 familiy as the Accellero performs the same as the VF900 on all other cards.

@thread starter, COH isnt that GPU taxing IMO, if you want GPU taxing run 3dmark06 deepfreeze test under 1600x1200 ( or higher ) with 16XAF and FP. only in that test i am able to get my max temps during overclocking. COH falls about 4~6c lesser on my max temps
    1. I don't understand why my results are so different then. I followed installation instructions to the letter and applied paste correctly.

    2. I will try that now but what is FP - is it full precision? If so where do I turn that on?

EDIT - I found the option.

EDIT2 - Ok so I ran that test but could only run it at 1680x1050, but that is the same res I use in COH so its a fair test. Reached a maximum of 75 degrees with the same fan settings now tith the stock cooler. COH runs about 4-6 degrees hotter for me...weird.

Thing is I thought the COH crash was due to GPU overheating, but ther more I read about it the more I realize there's a huge issue with COH for a lot of people. They get the same sound loop an crash I do with very different configs.

VF900 was still a crappy cooler for me though

the Core 2 thing can be explained with the paste, this one is harder to explain

When you have your AC Accelero X2, did you try putting the fan speed at 100%?

From the reviews I've read, the reviewers stated that there's no difference in dB when comparing the fan speed at auto and 100%.

Yeah I always had it 100%. It is a good cooler, but for me it worked best when it was new. Even though i cleaned it a bunch of times it idled about +7 degrees higher now when I removed it than when I seated it the first time.
