6800GT AGP = 7X00 PCI-E?

Im upgrading my computer to

Intel Core 2 6600

DS3 Mobo

2 gb RAM

Raptor

2nd LCD

I dont really game at all anymore, this is my workstation PC primarilym but i still dont really want to take a step down from my 6800GT when i get a new PC, well not to far a step down anyway.

What is the equivilant 7X00 series card to a 6800GT? Would a 7600GT be about as good?

From the reviews I've seen:

7300GT with DDR3 (may have been OC'd)
7600GT

there's the 6800GS as well, but you can usually find a 7600GT for the same price or cheaper

Get a 7600GT. That's about equal. A 7900GS or GT might be nice if you find one for cheap.

The 7300GT (even the 500/1400 DDR3 version) is shy of 6800GT performance, but in modern games a 7600GT should exceed it I'd have thought.

But then again, for the cheap price of the 7300GT, you could buy two and run them in SLI which will give you a lot of 'bang per buck'. (If you had a SLI mobo)
