Every time I run a benchmark 3d Mark shows my memory @ 533mhz.... Why? Its DDR3 1333.
I'm running a 980x on an Ausus P658D mobo with 24GB of Corsair Dominator 1333Mhz DDR3.
I've checked the Bios and set the frequency to 1333 and it POSTs as 1333Mhz. Is the something else I need to do? One curious thing in the bios is a tooltip that says ram will only go to 1066 unless the CPU is unlocked.
I thought the 980x is already unlocked. I'm not looking to do any massive OC right now - I just want to make sure my Ram is being utilized correctly.
That's most likely because the memory I/O bus of your system is operating at 533Mhz (=1066 DDR)
I'm not familiar with your specific board but I would assume that for some reason the system isn't running the memory at 1333 (that would show up as 667Mhz)
What does CPU-Z show on your system under memory tab?
Isn't this where it's supposed to be? Or do I have to adjust my FSB and tinker with some voltage? Or am I misreading my 3d Mark 11 results? http://3dmark.com/3dm11/4022152
Most likely this is a detection error - your motherboard is fairly uncommon. I would say that CPU-Z is showing it right (roughly 667Mhz so 1333Mhz DDR)
