The GF110 isn't as gaming oriented as GK104 is, and their memory controllers are vastly different, so their difference could come from whatever - however between GTX660Ti and 670 the only difference is memory bandwidth, and look at their difference.
Anyone else get one of these yet? Installation imminent![]()
Okay, so after testing out several games, I can say this card is indeed beastly. Alan Wake (being highly optimized) was a great showcase. I was able to put everything on max, save for the FXAA which was just 2x and it was a huge improvement over my SLI'd 8800GT's. Fan noise never increased and the dynamic clocks keep the heat and power down, and according to GPU-Z the clocks go to over 1Ghz on GPU when gaming. Desktop it's at 324Mhz. So if you're on the fence, I'd say ge tit now and enjoy it. Most every e=tailer is offering Borderlands 2 free and at Bestbuy this week they had Guild Wars 2 free.
Quiet, powerful, efficient, and definitely worth the $$ to upgrade from a 400 series or older.
Now I am actually thinking about getting a couple of these for SLI, and I would need to buy water blocks as well. Not sure yet
I'm getting bored of my 5850...I need to hide my credit cards.![]()
For those near a Fry's in the US, they have the MSI GTX 660TI w/ the Twin Frozr III cooler on them for $299.... I ended up with the R7950 TFIII myself. Testing it out may bring it back after a few days and swap over if I hear more about these cards in the short time. Came a from a 5830.
I believe they do but I don't think they price match to internet prices. Fry's will price match to the web.
