    Lords of Overclocking 2012

Lords of Overclocking is here again for 2012
    http://www.3dmark.com/competitions/MSI-LOC-2012/

From July 27 to August 23, there will be three categories of competition:
    3DMark 11 - Performance Preset 3DMark score - Single-GPU only
3DMark 11 - Physics score - all presets are OK
3DMark 11 - Graphics score - No limit to number of GPU's used

There are weekly prizes for best scores and the highest score overall gets travel and hotel to MOA Grand Final in Taipei for themselves and one team mate.

All categories require users to have MSI brand motherboards and graphics cards.

On the fourth contest week, only top 20 contestants in a category can continue to submit new scores, so make sure to get a good score in during the first three weeks!

For other limitations and prizes, see the contest page:

Do we also need to use 1.0.3 version of 3dmark11 for physics category?

    Re: Lords of Overclocking 2012

    because of this part:

"On the fourth contest week, only the current top 20 overclockers on the leaderboard are allowed to keep sending new results to the contest."

    and this part

"The contest runs from 11:00 GMT July 27th to 11:00 GMT August 23rd. Contest weeks change every Monday, 11:00 GMT."

can you please write a detailed list of the 4 weeks ?

    i mean someting like that:

1st week from xx to xx
2nd week from xx to xx

i was confused because the contest started on friday and not monday .....

1.0.3 should be mandatory because the scoring is (slightly) influenced by Bullet library updates. However, Pasi has the final say on that.

Good catch. That is just old copy/paste.

Contest weeks change on Fridays, so the last week is a day shorter as the contest ends on Thursday 23rd.

    So week 1: July 27-August 3
    Week 2: August 3-August 10
    Week 3: August 10-August 17
    Week 4: August 17-August 23

Always changing at 11:00 am GMT.
