I bought Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet (sadly I didn't know it was GFWL), Arma II (for access to DayZ if I so desire), The Walking Dead (wasn't impressed by it when it first came out but I caved like a sissy) and Krater. I'm sure I will be making more purchases before the 22nd.

I'm on an i5 @ 4 Ghz with 8 gigs of RAM and a Geforce 670, and with default draw distance I'm looking at 20-80 FPS on normal, 10-60 on high-as-it-goes. Really depends on how much crap you're looking at... so the framerate is really inconsistent.

speaking of poorly optimized - unattractive looking games, I just got Episodes from Liberty City...I forgot what a crapy port GTA IV was

and as a bonus, it installs GFWL..nice

Debating picking up Arma II for you-know-what, but $18... which doesn't seem so bad until I consider that I still have a ton of other games yet to play.

I was in the same situation, then I downloaded the Arma II demo and it ran like ass.

Well, that doesn't sound promising. I'd give the demo a go myself but not enough time left.

They should PAY you to play it. I'm a big fan of The Sands of Time, but the PoP reboot did nothing for me.

Prince of Persia 2008 was my second-favourite game of 2008 (next to Fallout 3) and was the last game I bought from Ubisoft at full price (shortly afterwards they began their DRM-filled assault on PC gamers). I really enjoyed the environment and the combat (although the game is a blatant Xbox 360 port) and I personally thought using Elika as a sliding checkpoint system was an elegant solution to dying and having to retrace previous parts of the area. If you use a controller for your PC games or don't have a problem translating Xbox 360 button commands into mouse/keyboard commands I'd definitely recommend the game.

On a separate note, I thought with the Steam sale ending I'd be done buying games for a while, but the day after the sale their Daily Deal is Jade Empire for 75% off.
