Internet Explorer 8 support to be discontinued on Battlelog

IE8 is quickly falling behind modern browsers in terms of compatibility and we want to focus our time and effort on developing and improving features on Battlelog.

I think IE8 is max on WinXP, but Win7 has IE9 and above.

I guess that's a good thing. IE8 is decent enough for older XP systems, but put Firefox on that system and the web experience is just so much better.

That said, Battlefield 3 players should all be on Windows 7 anyways.

Well, when you say 'max', you didn't mean that. There's always Chrome, Firefox and even Safari that all support the latest standards.

I'm amazed they even supported IE8. You need to specifically install Vista without the latest service packs and not update it to have IE8 on a system that can actually run BF3...
