Error message "Exclusive access to display and/or keyboard lost" causeed by language?

Hi all,

I bought a GIGABYTE notebook P2542G a couple days ago.

It provides two languages, English and Traditional Chinese, in system.

3DMark 11 basic edition run correctly in English environment after I clicked "Run 3DMark 11" button.

But when I use Tranditional Chinese, 3DMark 11 showed error message.

"Exclusive access to display and/or keyboard lost"

I am sure the system is running with the same settings between these two languages.

How can I run 3DMark 11 in Tranditional Chinese environment?

Generally this error comes up if some background application tires to steal focus during the run. Do you have any utilities running in the background that might work differently depending on the language setting?

The benchmark itself should work just fine even in Chinese (and even offers localization).

It is good to know 3Dmark 11 should work fine in Chinese without any specific adjustment.

Actually, I don't really worry about the error message.

Since the benchmark tool worked properly in English, I will just ignore the error message and operate my system.

By the way, in case anyone is interested in, the P2542G bundled with Cyberlink Power2Go and PowerDVD.

3DMark 11 still not able to work in Chinese even I had uninstalled these two softwares above.

Hi All,

I found the root cause of this error message on my system.

It was the "Chinese input tray" floating on desktop.

After I fixed it down to system tray, 3DMark 11 work fine.

Ah, I should have remembered that; floating input mode tray does cause this error. Windows does something odd when it is free-floating, I assume to plant it on top of other applications and that causes issues. Glad you figured it out.
