Is there actually any documented case of an SSD dying due to cell degradation?

I don't know. They're supposed to be rated at 3,000 writes. Wear levelling really helps, so the bigger the drive, the longer it will last. It's like USB/Flash sticks though, one minute they work, next they don't but I'd still put more crucial data and heavily written/wrote on a mechanical. Performance difference would be practically non-existent and the technology has matured over decades.
I've had a bunch of SSD's and I've always liberally abused them with no sign of dying. *shrug*
I really dont think Max Payne 3 is going to need 16GB of RAM, i know they stated that, but im pretty sure they were just recommending all of the best hardware out at the time instead of actually testing it because that takes less work to do.
I don't think there is a game that comes close to using 16gb of RAM especially since they have to work correctly on 32bit OS's which can only use like 3.5 gb at max. And sure console versions wont be at max settings, but they only have like 512mb of system RAM to run this game on
So then how big should my pagefile be if I have 8Gb of RAM?
I set mine to 512Mb and I will just leave it at that!
