Only 2 Cores showing on AMD fx-4100... HELP and WHY?
hi i just ran a 3dmark11 test and my scores came out okay i guess. but for some reason when i look at compared scores with the same gpu and cpu there is one weird thing. while others' scores show that they have 4 cores, mine only shows 2. this is something i dont understand. My task manager shows 4 graphs under the "processes" tab so im kinda at a loss of whats going on.

Re: Only 2 Cores showing on AMD fx-4100... HELP and WHY?
That is due to the complexities of Bulldozer architecture. It has two modules capable of running four threads and it is open to discussion if the modules actually have 2 "real" cores or not.
In any case I've flagged this as a potential bug in 3dmark.com for investigation. It may also be that it shows 2 or 4 depending on exact hardware configuration or depending on if the OS install is full clear install after hardware change or not.
