Not full screen when run the CPU TEST of 3DMark06

I used two laptops to run CPU TEST of 3DMARK06, the 11-inch panel of the machine running the CPU TEST is full-screen, but 15-inch panel of the machine running the CPU TEST is not full screen.
I would like to ask, what's the reason? Is it normal?

They have the same resolution.

CPU test runs at 640x480. 3DMark06 doesn't know what your panel does when it requests that resolution from DirectX. Some stretch it to fill screen, some show it with black borders. Neither influences the score in any way - difference is purely cosmetic. Same number of pixels is being drawn.
