No wonder it's so expensive. Actually, though, it's so cheap at $400 or so, it's insane to buy a 680 when the 670 is so close![]()

Who wouldn't expect this card to be awesome? It is still GK104 chip with just 1 SM bank disabled.
That is why I am amazed that it is on such a tiny PCB. I wonder if some modification can be done to the fan system to have it no longer than the PCB and still be just a 2 slot fan. Would be able to fit the 2nd most powerful single chip card in practically any case!
I'd so like to buy one of these! Too bad I won't be able to get much for my 6870's.
I don't think that AMD is in much trouble unless Nvidia has more of this disabled chips then they know what to do with. Their supply is still pretty limited, so AMD will take advantage of that. AMDs high end has been out since January. It is now 5 months later. By the time Nvidia can get some steady supply of GK104's it will be almost 6 months. Price drop from AMD I doubt would really hurt them, maybe even help uptick sales.
Just like how it always has been. AMD comes out first and well a head of Nvidia, but then Nvidia when it does come out comes out with a card that is decently faster but still late. If AMD were to come out at the same time as Nvidia, AMD would really be hurting, but they have their product positioned just right between Nvidia launches where they can be dominate and make sales.
I hope that GCN 2.0 will be enough to not only catch up with the 680, but surpass it by more than 10%. Nvidia really has given AMD a pretty large hill to climb this time around.
I'm getting 3 x gtx670. =D. Need to upgrade mine and my bro's(2) video card. HD5770 will just be a backup card, if anything goes wrong.![]()
Fake
This is the real Gigabyte GeForce GTX 670 WindForce 3X OC.

Now that's more like it considering the performance compared to 680. Looks like that one is also out of my price range![]()
Looks like the 670 might be my next Gfx card, replacing my 6870. I just cannot afford the 680. Benchmarks look very close aswell.

Glad you've finally realized it's a fake. Not like I've posted multiple screenshots of that same card a few days back in the other thread. That Gigabyte card has 6+8 pins power as well so great overclocking potential is more than likely.
If the 670 is this fast, I wonder how fast the 660/660Ti will be.
Interesting thread over here http://www.overclock.net/t/1253432/g...rsion-hands-on
