    Buying GTX570 2.5GB now - good idea?

The GTX460 1GB just doesnt cut it in BF3 @ 1080p. So before I lose interest in the game I wanted to upgrade my gfx card. But the GTX680 is too expensive, I dont want to spend more than 300.

Will the medium range 6x0 cards be way faster than the GTX570 or will the differences be marginal? What are the estimates?

It's a bad idea to put it simply. Get a GTX670 instead.

I too agree with Quad, bad idea to get GTX 570. Get either GTX 670 when its out (should be very soon) or HD 7950 bios flash to HD 7970.
