I love apples and eat them as often as I can get my hands on them, but they NEVER ever give me the feeling of being less hungry afterwards. In my opinion they're more an alternative to candy rather than being a real snack.

Fruit is like crack to me. You could set a bowl of fruit salad and a box of swiss cake rolls next to me and I wouldn't even touch the snack cakes.

After eating an apple I tend to get more hungry than less hungry for some reason, so I stick to high protein items to curb hunger. Or strawberries, except every time I buy them I find moldy ones in the middle...
