    Ew. No.

Definitely get The Witcher 2. Far better than Skyrim which needs 1000 mods to even be enjoyable.

Slight exaggeration there. One the thing Witcher 2 cannot touch Skyrim on, the fun factor. Witcher is a (hugely overrated) decent game, but it's also dull as dishwater, Geralt should be an Anaesthetist, because his voice just sends me to sleep. Skyrim is much more fun, buggy or not.

True, Im afraid. Played maybe 2 hours of Witcher. Got bored, never went back. First playthrough of Skyrim was 126 hours, without playing ANYTHING else. (p.c or console)

Alan Wake looks great on the PC, and can be purchased on the cheap through Steam. Remedy did a fine job of porting the game to the PC, and it looks much, much better than the console variants. The gameplay is a bit average, but the story telling and atmosphere are top notch.

It's one of those games where the gameplay gets stale halfway through and you just sort of bear through it to see the story play out.

This is wrong. Especially coming from the guy who thought Mass Effect 3 was good and Bioware wasn't crap!

I think you'll find ME3 wasn't crap, it was actually a good game, let down in places by poor writing. I was also doing the sensible thing, giving Bioware the benefit of the doubt and waiting to see for myself what it was like.

There is no benefit of the doubt for them.

    DA2
    ME3
    SWTOR

Three strikes, you're out. Beyond that, ME3 was marred by boring repetitive combat, terrible animations and overly sexualized writing for no apparent reason other than to appear edgy.

This isn't baseball or a court of law. If Bioware get their **** together and start concentrating on making great games, instead of making money, then i'll start buying their games again. For now, yes they've had a rough time, but lets hope it's taught them a lesson. I'd rather have a Bioware that is back on form, making great games, than no Bioware at all.

Your comments on ME3 are just opinions, not right or wrong, just what you think. I've played through the game 3 times now and it is a good game marred by some dodgy writing, and a shitty ending, but for every dodgy bit, there is a well written part to counter it, for every dumb scene, there is an epic scene to balance it. The gameplay is what it is, it's been that way from day one, besides, all these types of games are like that, so that's a criticism that could levelled at other many other games too. Like The Witcher 2 combat for example, that boring and repetitive as well, certainly far less exciting then ME3.
