Well my plan was to fire it up and see how it runs then actually play the game later. So much for that. This game is freaking awesome man, been playing non stop for a good few hours. I'm on Episode 3 atm, taking a break for food and what not.

If you are curious how it runs InfiniteEnigma it's flat out butter smooth with all the bells and whistles enabled.

I run 1920x1280 , AA2x, no FSAA, 16x Ansio, Vsync on, SSAO high, Godray high, Volume lights high, draw distance max, lod distance about half or just under , FOV max, and i use the -noblur command line in steam , cuz i dont really like motion blur and its costly, all that and i get anywhere from 25-60 capped fps dark and light levels. vsync off it goes higher but i see screen tear so keep it on.

I was as excited for this game as anyone. I eagerly awaited year(s) like everyone else and quickly snatched it up (in this case for a console) as soon as it was released. The first few hours it was a blast, the next couple were familiar but ok, the next couple were go hum, and I never actually finished it. This may speak more towards my preference with regards to gaming but none the less it simply got repetitive and boring for me after about 4 or 5 hours.

Oh man, the end of the game is the best. You should pick it back up.

I actually did! I'm almost back to where I gave up my first time through.
I'll be ramming Alan Wake down your tender gaming receptors soon.

Being chased around by a Combine Harvester in one of the chapters is one of the greatest moments in PC gaming history.

I tried it and it ran like crap on my system (compared to skyrim etc.) Even on low couldn't get playable FPS. Also it the combat and movement sucked. The story seemed OK but not enough for me to keep on playing.

He changed the quote I did. Its an inside joke thing, if I play through PoP:SOT then he's going to buy Alan Wake and play through it.
