You missed the resolution 2560 x 1600 and settings 4xAA/16xAF maxed.

Metro 2033 have "built in fps cutter" for Nvidia cards.

    EDIT
You are right. Metro numbers must be an error (first and second chart doesn't make sense at all) .

So a single card with 2x GK104s... which are normally ~$500/card if they were in stock anywhere...

for $999, but with better cooling, etc is somehow a sham???

/methinks people are setting their goals a touch unrealistic, as this isn't a card with cut-down GK104s, but 2 FULL GK104s. Am I missing something???

All they did was downclock GPUs from 1006 to 915MHz (guess to trim TDP under 300W).

They can ramp up much closer to the 680 - wonder how long before water blocks are available for them?

Re: NVIDIA GTX 690 Official Launch "Performance Perfected"

Price tag is not too high considering that Nvidia used best (higher binned) chips for the GTX 690, which is the other factor in bringing down power consumption versus the 2x195W GTX 680 SLI.

Bare in mind that single card users have different $$ perspective than SLI or CF users who spend more than $1,200 for the top multi GPU performance.

Yeah seen the pics over @ TPU too, impressive stuff.

As for the price, it's a niche super high-end card, of course it's gonna be expensive. It's definitely one of the most impressive reference designs I've seen.

    Anyway...

Nice to see it hasn't got the stacked power connectors, unlike this 680. I like the cooler design too, it looks tough, robust, like you could chuck it about and it'd still work afterwards. Not that i'd test that theory.

I like Nvidia's approach to this, the price will be high anyway so why not go all out on the design. Beautiful card
