I didn't quite figure out how to access the world PVP. I kept looking for an option to make a PVP-only character.
Well, I didn't get very far. But it was like (spoilers for the human story):
Go attend this party. Go rescue these people. Go find out who made this piece of paper. Go attend this other party.
Like I said earlier, generic stuff. It's all connected in some way, I guess, but not in a way that's intriguing and urges me to push onward. And the story quests themselves were pretty lackluster in terms of combat and gameplay... kill a few mobs, kill a few more, kill a few more, random people talking in a cutscene, finished.
As opposed to a story you can invest in and find yourself dying to find out what happens next. That's what I'm hoping it develops into, even just shades of something like that. I should really replay the original GW so I have something to compare it to, I barely remember it at this point.
