    Guild Wars 2

So how do you like it?

Since NDA is lifted we can post screens etc.

I will abstain because the game is still not fully optimized and I have to run it everything at minimum.
Yesterday I tried it quickly on my work computer and I could max everything. Very very CPU limited.

Definitely Loves it. We have lots of fun in WvWvW , while it needs some tweaking its definitely worth trying.

Blue Invader Attacking Stonemist Castle. (Low Quality)

I tried tera it's still the same MMO with the same questing type while does have some nice graphics and some UIs.

Just found out from the forum that setting gw2.exe on high should fix some of the fps problem. They defaulted it to low priority. Doing that fixed mine.

    Re: Guild Wars 2 beta

I played Tera first beta weekend. Feels like WoW all over again. Change all 3 of my preorder to The Secret World. Went online and order 3 guild wars 2 Digital deluxe. I love the fact you could move and still attack on most skills. I tried turret boy. At first i like it. Played him up to level 18 and finish the main quest that beta, cap you too(level 20 main quest.). One thing i dont like about him.. you have to pick up the turrets for the new location. If you do, it take less time to put it down again, if you dont, it will take forever to regen. Rocket will have 1min CDs. Ranger with greatsword is fun. Does a lot of damage. Some spirit are bugged. If you have a trait that makes them move. Protection spirit will not buff you. Warrior was ok. Guardian is ok, i might use him as a tank... hmmm.. The mage was ok, very little life at level 80.

I like the graphics. I think the publc quest needs to highlight the area they want us to do the mission. Some quest is not even close to the public quest guy at all.

Half the time when i played the game my graphics was on custom high/mid setting. Later on i just left it on max. Notice a big diff between mid and high on shaders setting. Waiting for gtx670 to come out.

What's the command to show fps anyway? I think on max setting i am getting 25 fps. A bit slow down on the frames. Using HD 5770. But i could be wrong.

If you were to uncheck that bag box. It will make it one big bag instead.

How did you see your fps in game? Fraps?

    Re: Guild Wars 2 beta

Well thats the problem for most MMOs these days they try to copy WoW or try to be the WoW Killer.

No didn't used fraps just an estimate 15~25ish fps. I notice the difference when I set the priority on High seems to jump to 30+ fps and smoother. I'm sure once they optimized the client game would be awesome to play.

Thanks for the bag tip we were so busy in WvW and didn't notice the checkbox

    For Anyone Interested :

We’ll be conducting a stress test on Monday May 14 from 11 AM to 6:00 PM PDT (-7 GMT).

This special test event is open only to Pre-Purchase customers who have registered their accounts. With your help, we can conduct important tests and address some of the issues we identified during our first Beta Weekend Event. During this event, all you need to do is play normally with a new or existing character on your Beta account using the same game client. Please note that since this is a stress test of our servers, you may experience some in-game performance issues. If you’ve pre-purchased Guild Wars 2 and wish to participate in the stress test, we recommend that you register the account and download the game client.

Pre-Purchase customers, log in to the Beta Forums for more information and/or to download the Beta client if needed.

    Re: Guild Wars 2 beta

Was also posted on their forum, twitter and reddit been checking it regularly

Anyway it was just a stress test with your BWE#1 characters preserved. Think they're getting ready for the next BWE and fixing some server issues. Probably next one is almost guaranteed on the 25th~27th of May kinda late to announce any 20th BWE.

Hopefully they optimized the client ran fraps and I'm getting 5~20 FPS.

Ah well. Their forums are "closed" when there's no event so I haven't checked it.
Rarely checking twitter and even then mostly Cern or NASA...
